室內設計高手兼好友懿雯在一次茶聚中，透露和胞弟志堅於母親患病期間，深深體會到其他留院病患者無言地面對着貧、病的煎熬。
當年姐、弟倆很感恩能夠在得悉母親需要長期卧床而又有足夠經濟能力從美國以港幣3,000元訂購一張氣墊床，讓患癌病在床不能彈動的母親藉着該床的功能，無須經常翻身亦可預防裖瘡滋生之苦。
慈母不幸染病，造就了志堅對長期卧床病患者的關愛，尤其是經濟能力有所不逮的弱勢社群。
從事五金物品開發、採購代理多年，對機械操作原理有一定的認識，志堅于母親離世後便發心研究氣墊床的構造並如何將成本降至最低，好讓長期卧床的病人家屬，均能負擔購買；與此同時更向特區政府申辦成立動力支援慈善機構有限公司（非牟利機構），注資長遠研發有關傷、病者動力支援器材製造；紀念母親春暉無限，遺愛人間。
Over High tea, an outstanding Interior Designer friend of mine, Yvonne, mentioned her brother Sam is interested in participating at my e-tailing platform.
Yvonne further explained it is an air pressure mattress that Sam has designed for the needed – functional and inexpensive.
Yvonne and Sam told the stories of their mother who was seriously ill in bed at the hospital. They bought her an air mattress from America. The air mattress has air chambers that provided massage function to relieve pressure points on the body. It had certainly provided comfort to their beloved mother. It cost around HK$3,000 back then.
Sam was sadden by the less fortunate patients in the General Ward at the hospital. They cannot afford the air mattress.
With his concern for the needed, he set up an non-profit making organization doing research and development on motion support equipments.
Today, the air pressure mattress is in production and to be sold at a very affordable price … more good news is … he is working on a specialized wheel-chair to help users to get in and out of taxi or passenger car with minimal support. Stay tune for more of Sam’s great work!
